Land Clearing & Brush Removal in Southeast Ohio

Wooded lots, overgrown fields, and fence lines full of brush — land clearing opens ground up so it's actually usable. We clear it clean, take the stumps, and leave you with ground you can build, graze, or lease.

What land clearing covers

Land clearing isn't just knocking trees down. We start by walking the tract and marking what stays and what goes, then work through it in stages: brush hogging the undergrowth, felling and removing the trees, pulling stumps and roots, and raking the ground clean. The end result is a site you can actually see the shape of.

On the wooded ridge lots common across southeast Ohio, a clean clearing job means getting the stumps out — not just cutting them flush. A stump left below the soil line rots slowly and leaves a sinkhole years later. We grub them out and remove the waste so the ground is stable and buildable.

Lot clearing, acreage clearing, and fence lines

We clear at every scale. A single wooded lot for a new home, a full acreage clearing to bring pasture or tillable ground back into production, or a fence line choked with brush that needs opened up for a new run. Each one gets the same treatment: everything you want gone, gone, and hauled off site.

  • Residential lot clearing ahead of a new build.
  • Acreage clearing for pasture, field, or future development.
  • Brush hogging to knock back years of overgrowth.
  • Fence-line clearing to reopen boundaries for new fencing.

What affects the job

Three things drive a clearing project: how thick the growth is, how big the trees are, and how our equipment can get in. A long, narrow lane to the back of a property means more handling of material, while a wide-open tract clears fast. We'll tell you honestly what your land needs so you can plan around it.

Common questions about land clearing

What happens to the trees and brush you remove?

We haul the material off site unless you'd like us to leave firewood or mulch piles behind. Tell us up front what you want kept and we'll sort it as we work.

Will you clear the stumps, or just cut at ground level?

We remove stumps and the main roots so the ground won't settle or sink later. A flush cut looks fine for a season, but it causes problems once you build or graze on it.

Can you clear a fence line without disturbing the rest of the field?

Yes. We open a working width along the line, take out what's in the way, and leave the field itself intact so you can put up a new fence cleanly.

Do I need a permit to clear my own land?

That depends on your property and any local rules that apply. We can point you in the right direction, and we'll clear once everything's squared away.
